Since the beginning of a full-scale invasion, the connection of business with the aggressor country is a trigger that does not have favorable effect on the work of such enterprises. Buyers are less likely to choose products of such a brand, law enforcement officers are interested in the activity, and business partners are trying to distance themselves and find partners with a cleaner reputation. Although, as the journalistic investigation of the “Bihus. Info” team showed, many Russians openly ignore both public outcry and requirements of the imperfect Ukrainian legislation, but still, over the past year and a half, many enterprises tried to “wash away” the Russian footprint.
In general, according to the data collected thanks to the analytical portal YouControl, 685 companies changed their ownership structure by removing Russian founders. The mentioned statistics refer to the period from February 24, 2022, to June 7, 2023, and it is worth understanding that further “cleaning” of the Ukrainian business environment is ongoing timeperiod.
The largest number of such companies are expected to be registered in Kyiv, the smallest — in the Volyn region. Today we will focus on Lviv Oblast, where 21 such enterprises were found. Some of them seemed particularly interesting to us.
