Despite the numerous statements of the occupiers regarding the rapid “development” of the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, the situation here is currently catastrophic in many areas. One of the most problematic issues is human potential. According to the calculations of the legitimate authorities, from one-third to one-half of the population left the TOT of the Zaporizhzhia region, which influenced the economy of the region. The occupiers began to “patch” the resource holes through “labor troops” who are now brought here from almost all over Russia.
They take government officials, because they don’t really trust local collaborators. They are bringing in doctors, because narrow specialists from TOT have left, and teachers, because very few teachers went to cooperate with the enemy.
They are tempted by high salaries and supposedly excellent conditions, so the Russians agree to such prospects. This process looks quite threatening for Ukraine in the context of the future de-occupation of this territory, because we already went through something similar back in Soviet times, when the Soviets artificially “washed out” the Ukrainian population with displaced Russians.
