“Stand up for yourself!” — that’s the slogan. The program includes Ukrainian and foreign films of various genres from Poland, Romania, France, Italy, and Israel. However, the basis of the screenings is Ukrainian cinema, because the festival promotes Ukrainian culture at a time when Russia is trying to destroy it.
Fifty-three movies were shown, including eight Ukrainian premieres. Some movies have already won awards at international film festivals. During the week, the guests of the festival saw full-length and short films, watched teasers for the films to be released in 2023-2024. Almost all of them are exclusive. They are not publicly available.
The festival became a platform for dialogue and discussions. The directors and actors shared their experience of how new Ukrainian cinema is created, and the audience experienced an imaginary the journey from idea to casting and premiere.
