The Russian military conquered the coast of the Sea of Azov in the Zaporizhzhia region, which before the full-scale invasion was visited by millions of tourists every year.

And although there are no combat operations on the beaches of the resort towns of Kyrylivka, Prymorsk, and Berdyansk, the occupiers use recreation centers and hotels for accommodating their soldiers, placing equipment on the coast, and takeing away stolen grain by sea.

Access to some beaches is prohibited for civilians. Others are attacked, and the equipment and personnel of the occupiers are destroyed.

But the Russian invaders and local authorities want to create a picture of a successful season and also talk about some prospects for the development of the resort under occupation.

We debunk fakes about the development of a recreation area in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
