Since July of last year, the Russian occupiers have been shelling the city of Nikopol, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, from the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region almost every day. Strike from multiple rocket launchers, heavy artillery and drop ammunition from drones.
In fact, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, a volunteer sewing workshop has been operating in Nikopol, which was created on the basis of one of the charitable foundations. 12 seamstresses have already joined the activity on a free basis.
For more than a year, the women designed and sewed dozens of items of military clothing – from large winter sets to pouches and caps. In addition, seamstresses create adaptive clothing for wounded soldiers.
Women say that this is how they distract themselves from the daily shelling and heavy thoughts about their relatives, because many of them have husbands and sons at war. Moreover, they work every day to sew military equipment as soon as possible.
