At first, she built trenches with her family to protect her hometown from the Russian invasion, and then she became a military volunteer. This is the story of Tetiana Merkushyna, a resident of the city of Druzhkivka in Donetsk region.

The woman had a family business in the IT field in Kramatorsk. Moreover, from the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, she came to the aid of the military. At first, she got everything necessary for the needs of the soldiers at the front. When she became an IDP and moved to Dnipro – she found like-minded people, also from Donetsk region, and the girls started weaving camouflage nets together.

At the end of last year, Tetiana founded the public organization “Kramchary”. It’s an abbreviated name from “Kramatorsk enchantresses” – that’s what the volunteers jokingly called each other. The union includes ten women. Every day they weave camouflage nets in Dnipro and collect donations for the needs of the military. There are more and more of them every time, and the founder of “Kramchar” Tetiana Merkushina told her story to the project “MIL Ukraine”.
