In Kropyvnytskyi, a discussion broke out about the format of the farewell procedure for fallen servicemen.

A group of public activists suggests holding a ceremony in the city center. In this way, more people will be able to pay their respects to the fallen hero. After all, now the ceremony is held at the cemetery on the outskirts of the city.

Instead, there is another opinion. The first problem is security. As the city authorities say, there is a risk of a missile attack and the security forces do not advise holding a farewell in the city center.

The archbishop of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, who participates in the farewell ceremonies, offers to strike a balance in this matter. After all, the memory of the military should be in everyone’s dignified life. According to the priest, an additional ceremony in the middle of the city will be an unnecessary stress for the relatives of the victims.

A local volunteer who helps the army says that it is important to inform as much as possible about the Days of Mourning, and farewells can be held at the cemetery.
