In Ukraine, a number of problems arose after the completely renewed and reformed Patrol Police began operating.

Among them are unreformed courts, which often acquit violators, the low culture of behavior of citizens who are stopped by the police, and in some cases the insufficient level of competence of patrol officers. Cases of the use of weapons by the police, which sometimes lead to tragic consequences, are not rare.

In Kropyvnytskyi, a regional center in the central region of Ukraine, a traffic violator died during detention several years ago. The patrolman is currently on trial for exceeding his authority.

The lawyer of the deceased’s family says that the rest of the cops from the crew should also be prosecuted. Instead, the patrolman does not admit guilt, and the video of the incident shows that it was the family of the deceased, who provoked the conflict.
